Playing Pretend

The other day during naptime Anna Claire was so into the fun she was having; singing, talking... (My rule is that you don't have to sleep during naptime but you have to stay in your room.) Afterwards I asked what she was playing and she told me about some Strawberry Shortcake storyline. Then I asked who she played with and she said, "Mom! I was only pretending!"

Some days she does sleep during naptime. Russ captured this sweet picture of a sleeping angel! She is starting to read and she curled up in her chair with a book and a blanket and her black dog. So sweet!
